Kung Fu Panda 2: The Awesomeness is On!

Po and the Furious Five is now kickin’ and choppin’ on the theaters near you.  The absolute awesomeness is now on the big screen today, Friday, May 27, 2011.  The Kung Fu Panda 2: Kaboom of Doom is the sequel of the original Kung Fu Panda which hit the theaters in 2008.  The Kung Fu Panda 2 is available in 2D or in 3D format.

According to movie reviews on RottenTomatoes.com and Metacritic.com, the Kung Fu Panda 2 is near perfect.  Some of the critics say that it is one of the few sequel films who surpass the original. Panda 2 is actually in so many ways.

The "Kung Fu Panda" had its charms, but the new director Jennifer Yuh (yeah, she is Asian and a woman) and a script by the original's team of Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger, this story is more artistically inventive, less reliant on slapstick. There's still plenty of humor, but it is also mixed with poignancy and a neat parallel which finds both hero and villain dealing with long ago parental issues.

The Kung Fu Panda 2 is actually one of the few animated films that could make you punch, laugh and cry at the same time.
In the Kung Fu Panda 2, Po and the Furious Five (Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey) will be facing a very powerful enemy that threatens to destroy the legend of Kung Fu in China.  Their new enemy is the powerful Lord Shen.  Shen is a villainous albino Indian Peafowl who have weapon more powerful than Kung Fu. He has harnessed the power of firecrackers and turned them into deadly, projectile launching devices. Eventually that weapon is known as cannons in modern era. Lord Shen plans to reign in the entire China, he can only do that by killing all the Kung Fu masters in the land.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is not just an action and comedy film but also story of acceptance.   The story of Kung Fu Panda 2 deals also with the story of adoption.  Po faces the realization that Mr. Ping the Goose is not his real father. And that only Lord Shen knows the true story of his birth.  Po's reaction to being adopted is like to what most of adopted children must feel they learn the truth about their birth.  Who am I really? Was I not wanted?

Kung Fu Panda 2 is fun movie to watch not only for kids but also for adults who wants get away for while from every day busy life.  You can watch Kung Fu Panda 2 online or on your favorite movie theaters.

Long Live Kung Fu! Long Live PO!
